Ira Sluyterman van Langeweyde is an artist based in Munich who specializes in illustration and character design. She masterfully uses both analog and digital media and looks for ways to combine them. One of my favorite things about her work is her use of shadows. I like how something so minimal like that can add so much to a painting. It places them in an environment and also has an emotional impact since the visual quality of the shadow can be connected to time of day and also seasons. I also like how she is able to use different media so seamlessly.
